Welcome, Dear Netizen

Minimalism and Customization

Hello, Dear Netizen

I haven't been posting much on my blog bc I wanna customize it up a bit. However, I find something a bit strange. I feel as though minimalism and customization are a bit contradictory to each other. For one, I want to have as little as possible, so then I'm able to not work as much. On the other hand, I wanna make this blog my very own by adding more fluff to it sorta. Idk how to describe it, and it kinda makes me wanna go to neocities, but i've seen some good customization on other ppl's bear blogs. However, there's something I realized that kinda makes sense as to why I value minimalism and customization, and that is freedom.

I tend to love being able to do whatever the hell I want. I wanna tinker stuff around, so that something belongs/fits with me. At the same time, as much as I wanna tinker stuff in the background, i also wanna be as minimal as possible. I'm absolutely fine with empty space. I don't need to plaster my page with like whatever the hell. It's also kind of why I'm not so much creative with filling space. In my head, I want to just do as little as possible and get the same result. It's a balancing at, not really a contradiction. I want to have options available. Sure, i might not use those options, but why take them out or put the ones I need behind a paywall?

It's also kinda why I wanna switch to linux. Linux offers so much freedom and customization, but I know I want things to be as minimal as possible. Not too flashy, but just right for me.

I think the aspect of freedom encompasses a lot of broad things that people can generally agree upon, but also seem to contradict each other as well. Of course for me, it's my practical use of minimalism, but then I also wanna do so much stuff that I want the options of customization. Again, it's a balancing act that I maintain. It's almost a contradiction (maybe it is if someone wants to argue with me), but it somehow works out to my standard with the way I want things to work for me.

Below is an image of one of my favorite anime, "No Game No Life." It's uhh, a bit weird out of context, but if you love smart protags, then u'll definitely like this one. It's also super colorful, and there's not a lot of anime that's as colorful as this one (although, mondaiji-tachi is also a really colorful anime as well). The more I think about it, the more how much the image fits with this post. It's very minimal. Not much is going on, yet if you know the anime, there's tons of possibilities that will await if you try to seek it out. bruh
